Procedures:
  1. Complete a Non-Degree Seeking Data form, if you are a first time registrant or have not attended Cincinnati State for over five terms. This may be turned in prior to registering for classes. At time of registration complete a current term enrollment form or you may use the WEB to register (if personal data is complete in the system and a login/password have been issued). If you have taken classes within the last five terms and personal data information has changed, please complete a Personal Data Form. If you have attended in the past five terms you may be able use the WEB to register and make personal data corrections. A Cross Registration form is required at time of enrollment.
  2. The registration is completed in the Office of the Registrar, Room 161, Main Building. Office of the Registrar office hours are: Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Student's will receive a registration statement including course information and billing information at the time of registration. If student should register by using WEB, please use the MyRegistration Statement or MySchedule to review your coursed information and registration statement.
  3. Pay any fees applicable. Current charges may be made on the WEB or at the Cashier Window located in the West Corridor of the Main Hall in the Main Building. If you should have a past due balance, please see an Accounts Receivable Clerk in the Finance Office located in room 154 in the Main Building.
  4. If you should decide to either drop the course or withdraw from the course please do so in the Office of the Registrar during the appropriate time frame.
  5. Cincinnati State has an enforced attendance policy. Please see the syllabus of the course for attendance policy specifics. A student may not withdraw from a class that they have not attended.
Fees: Students must pay all applicable fees by bill payment due date. Fees include: Application fee; Lab fees as appropriate; Registration fee, Technology fee, Facility fee, and any Late or Extended Payment fees (when applicable).
Additional Information: Cincinnati State Students Cross-Registering at other Institutions:
A degree seeking student at Cincinnati State wanting to attend another GCCCU institution must complete a Permission to Register Off-Campus form prior to requesting a cross consortium form. All approvals must be in place prior to submitting to the Office of the Registrar.

Students from other Institutions Cross-Registering at Cincinnati State:
A student wanting to attend Cincinnati State from another GCCCU institution must bring their cross consortium form with them. Host students must follow any and all standards as any student attending Cincinnati State. Special permissions are not given nor are special entry requirements waived for GCCCU students. Courses requiring instructor consent must be sought and received (approvals are given through electronic approval or by signature on a registration form).

Cincinnati State has implemented mandatory prerequisite checking. If a student plans to enroll in a course which has prerequisite requirements they must bring adequate information (generally a copy of their current college transcript or high school transcript when necessary) for a decision to be reached regarding enrolling in the requested course. Prerequisites can be found on the website by logging in www.cincinnatistate.edu On then right side of the screen click on QUICK LINKS and scroll to MyServices Search for Sections click on this choice; choose term, choose subject, choose course number and click on submit button. This will bring up the list of courses and sections. Click on section name and title and this will detail to a course description screen including the prerequisites required.

Additional Information: Registration Requirement: Students must be full-time at their home institution during the Spring term; or enrolled for at least one summer term course at the home institution before registering at the host institution. Part time students must be enrolled for a minimum of six hours during the Spring term and enrolled for at least one summer term course at the home institution.

GPA Requirement: The minimum GPA requirement is 2.00 or higher for undergraduates and 3.00 or higher for graduate students.

Since registration is on a space-available basis, registration at Miami University does not guarantee you a space in a course. Students at the host school usually have priority over consortium students.
Registration: At Miami University, all consortium students register in person at the Registrar's Service Area, 102 Campus Avenue Building. Once registered, students can view their registration, financial account and access other services through Miami's web portal:
