Disabilities Services Directors
Comprised of a variety of disability services staff from the member institutions and the branch campuses of The University of Cincinnati and Miami University, this group traditionally meets three times a year. The goals of the Disability Services Committee are to:
- provide a networking opportunity for disabilities services professionals at GCCCU member institutions;
- provide a forum for disabilities services professionals to discuss issues current in the field of disabilities services and higher education;
- facilitate collaboration amongst the disabilities services professionals at GCCCU member institutions;
- to assist members in responding to questions posed by their colleagues as well as offering suggestions how to address a particular disability services or ADA compliance issue;
- assist students who cross-register at their institution with reasonable accommodations available;
- promote the exchange of ideas related to disabilities services to benefit students, faculty and staff at member institutions,
- provide assistance and advice in areas of common concern related to disabilities services;
- cooperate to provide professional development opportunities for faculty and staff at GCCCU member institutions.
